It was the debarkation port so caught the scenic train ride. Very industrial but looked like you can go into the town area. It was good for intents and purposes. ...

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

5Scouts
2-5 Cruises • Age 60s

Our Celebrity cruise finished in Seward. We took the Major Marine 8.5 Hour Northwestern Fjord Cruise which was absolutely fantastic. We had great weather and saw lots of birds, sea lions and whales! We saw humpback whales bubble net fishing and we saw orcas up close and witnessed them rubbing their bellies on a rocky beach. This unusual behavior is only seen in Alaskan and British ...

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

First Time Cruiser • Age 30s

Seward was our disembarkation port. Great views of Seward sailing into it. Smooth disembarkation process. We picked the first independent guest window since we booked a Kenai Fjords boat tour independently. No rush going out, and the luggage was already at the terminal! There were desks for the Kenai Fjords tours and the tour companies had a shuttle to send us to town, and it was also ...

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Roald Amundsen

This was an unexpected break and it was good to get a glimpse of Seward - we walked the length of Resurrection Bay and back, looking out for a sea otter (but these had to wait until Sitka). A local fisherman showed us a nice shortcut to the boardwalk, and a friendly woman described the impact the Earthquake had. ...

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

2-5 Cruises • Age 50s

Seward was fantastic. I'm so glad we stayed an extra night here. It has a more homey feel then the other ports. You can tell that people live here and take pride in that. It was a beautiful place to walk around and have a really great seafood dinner. We were able to catch the Alaska Railroad Train ride to the airport in Anchorage from Seward. But be aware that once you get to Anchorage, it ...
